Senior Manager

IMPOWER’s Senior Managers are technically competent, with a strong track record and expertise in their professional area, be it local government, health, finance or data. They have a strong belief in well-run public services that make real, tangible improvements to people’s lives. They have a high degree of emotional intelligence which enables them to understand and appreciate the situations that our clients face and build relationships with client staff and service users. They are trained in EDGEWORK ® – our unique approach to managing complex problems, and the way we deliver sustainable change and better public services.

Responsibilities

  • Managing client projects and day to day delivery, embedding IMPOWER’s EDGEWORK approach.
  • Managing key relationships with clients and wider stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that project workstreams are delivered to agreed timelines and budgets, with consistent quality across all delivery outputs.
  • Formally drawing out insight from projects, sharing across other projects and generating ideas for business development, opportunities and EDGEWORK Inventive Methods
  • Support account relationship growth and planning
  • Career development, coaching, mentoring and performance management of project teams and direct reports.
  • Proactive personal development

Skills and Experience

  • 6-8 years of management consulting experience with project delivery expertise
  • Demonstrable evidence of working within the public sector, health or social care
  • Experienced and knowledgeable of UK public services and current social issues
  • Experienced in managing project teams and multiple workstreams
  • Emotionally intelligent, understanding how to work in values-based organisations and environments
  • A commercial mindset
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Strong Microsoft Office capabilities

Hours: Full time

Location: Nationwide, with a London head office

Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 + discretionary annual bonus
