Senior Consultant

Our Senior Consultants are responsible for supporting the delivery of consulting projects and ensuring that our high-quality bespoke solutions meet individual client requirements. They will be trained in EDGEWORK® and use this approach in helping clients tackle complex problems within the public sector. Candidates will have a good understanding of the challenges and opportunities in local government and healthcare, an interest in behavioural science, and a passion for making a difference.

Candidates must have previous project support experience, either working within the public sector or have already started their career in consulting. They will be naturally curious about what drives behaviours, and interested in solving complex problems by using data analysis, good judgement and an ability to see beyond day-to-day pressures. They will have good organisation skills, and will want to invest in their own learning and development. They will care about quality and will have strong attention to detail.

  • Ensures delivery of high-quality and timely project work, using IMPOWER’s EDGEWORK® inventive methods
  • Responsible for developing positive client relationships both on and off-site, to ensure IMPOWER work is understood and owned by clients
  • Trusted to lead client relationships and conversations without manager support
  • Generates insight, impact & commercial opportunities, pro-actively highlighting these to relevant stakeholders within the business
  • Contributes to company development through profile (blogs, twitter) and communication plans
  • Proactive approach personal development

Skills and Experience

  • 4-6 years’ change management, transformation or project delivery experience, working within a public sector, consulting or social charity background
  • Experienced and knowledgeable of UK public services and/or social issues
  • Emotionally intelligent, understands how to work in values-based organisations and environments
  • Team driven
  • A commercial mindset
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Strong Microsoft Office capabilities

Salary: £40,000-£55,000 + discretionary annual bonus

Hours: Full time

Location: Nationwide, with a London head office
