Senior Consultant

Full-Time Contract

IMPOWER is expanding and looking for enthusiastic, intellectually curious, empathetic and motivated team players to join us as Senior Consultants.  

Our Senior Consultants are primarily responsible for delivering consulting projects, ensuring that high-quality bespoke solutions meet individual client requirements, using our EDGEWORK approach.

Candidates will have some understanding of the challenges and opportunities in local government and healthcare. They might have previous consulting experience, or they might presently work in the public sector. They will be naturally curious about what drives behaviours and interested in solving complex problems by using data analysis, good judgement and an ability to see beyond day-to-day pressures.

They will have good organisation skills, and will want to invest in their own learning and development. They will care about quality and will have strong attention to detail. They will share IMPOWER’s passion for people, and will share our ambition to be the best management consultancy working exclusively in local public services.


  • Deliver high-quality consultancy using IMPOWER’s EDGEWORK approach and methodologies, demonstrating public service ethos and making an impact
  • Develop operational client relationships
  • Generate insight and opportunities in project delivery
  • Contribute to company development through blogs, articles, and support to company workshops

Skills & experience

  • Recent experience and knowledge of the UK’s public services
  • 2-3 years of either professional consulting experience or experience of working in local government or healthcare
  • Ability to work as a team with clients and colleagues
  • Strong analytical capability
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills
  • Word, Excel and PowerPoint familiarity

Hours: Full time, 9:00am – 6:00pm

Location: Nationwide, with a London head office

Salary: starting from £40,000 per annum including discretionary bonus scheme
