Vacancy – Director: Strategic Partnering

iMPOWER is looking for an exceptional candidate to help write the next chapter in the company’s success story. In a difficult public sector market, we have trebled in size over the past four years, and have even greater ambition for the future. Having led in local government, we are now diversifying across the public sector. Our culture is unique in public sector consulting so the chance to join iMPOWER is more than a job or role – it’s about being part of an organisation committed to enabling a high performing state. Above all, we believe in the power of public services and public service values. Our clients are therefore treated with the highest respect and their success is our first priority.

These values lie at the heart of our approach to strategic partnering. We don’t assume a private partner is always the right choice – rigorous and creative options appraisal is our first step. But when a partner is needed, we have achieved considerable success in:

  • Innovating in the partnership to create social and economic outcomes;
  • Delivering the best deal for our clients;
  • Fast-tracking the competitive dialogue process to manage cost;
  • Creating sustainability in the partnership.

Our expansion now creates room for a Director dedicated to this challenge. You will have significant public sector Competitive Dialogue experience from a commercial and financial perspective. Ideally you will have success stories to talk to us about in delivering major public sector services deals. You will be networked and effective at a CEO and FD level. You will want to work in a team environment and be excited by our growth story. Above all, you will exhibit behaviours and an attitude that respects and values public services and public servants.

Applicants must live in the UK. To apply, please send your full CV to by Friday 14th September.

If you have any questions please contact Alex Khaldi (MD) or Martin Cresswell (CEO) on 020 7017 8030.
