IMPOWER’s Heroes of 2023: 22 December

Wendy Allen is the driver behind most change activity in Inclusion Services at Suffolk County Council.

In her role as Programme Manager in the Children and Young People Directorate, Wendy has been described as ‘the sticking glue’ between the Senior Leadership Team and the wide range of programmes and change initiatives. She does this through her incredible ability to work across multiple workstreams, make connections between people and activity, and build exceptional relationships.

In another conversation, Wendy is described as “an absolute diamond!” Her collaborative approach and energy are infectious, and she always has the outcomes of children and young people at the heart of every conversation. This is why Wendy is a Hero of 2023!
