IMPOWER’s Heroes of 2019: 16 December

Over the last 6 months, IMPOWER has worked with Jo, Maria and Miriam to introduce the Valuing Care approach in Stockton.  We have been consistently impressed by their passion, dedication and commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people. They have worked tirelessly to help the council better understand the needs of its children, resulting in better matched placements for those in care. Their hard work has also contributed to more young people moving towards family placements, better understood and supported foster carers and more targeted work with those on the edge of care. These three are kind, fierce and glamorous, and above all always dedicated to improving outcomes for families in Stockton – worthy heroes indeed.
