Black History Month 2020: Marcus Rashford

Caroline Throssel

Marcus Rashford is an English professional footballer who used his platform to call for MPs to go further in tackling child food poverty. As well as changing government policy, Marcus also succeeded in putting the issue of food poverty into the national consciousness and consequently reduced the stigma attached to receiving free school meals.
