Michael Kitts CPFA

Director

Michael is passionate about helping to increase the quality of people’s lives by making sustainable improvements to local public services and genuinely wrapping support around people, all based on what matters to them… something he’s worked on for over 35 years.

He has a rich and varied career history having worked in the UK local government sector for 18 years and then PwC for 13. He moved to Australia in 2014, continuing as a PwC Partner until February 2018 when he joined Deloitte also as a Partner in March 2018. After 6 years in Australia, he moved back to the UK to be closer to family and loved ones.

Some key features of his experience include:

  • working with multiple sectors (public sector, government, health & care, third sector, private) and industries – all with a strong focus on health and social care
  • transformational change focused on securing better outcomes at lower cost
  • complex procurement and commissioning approaches that are more joined up & outcomes focused – putting the citizen at the centre of care
  • establishment of new & innovative partnerships, especially between the public and private sectors
  • use of leading-edge technologies to support change and improvement
  • senior financial management and operations, pursuit of innovative commercial opportunities
  • people, diversity and cultural improvement, another key passion of his.

Michael has lived in Derbyshire, Australia and Scotland – a place that is now very dear to his heart. He loves Land Rovers, being out in the country and fly fishing.
