Starting his career as a social worker in Hull, Leo worked in a range of frontline and senior leadership roles across a number of local authorities before joining IMPOWER. This has included at Head of Service and Deputy Director level, where he oversaw a range of services including commissioning, school improvement and High Needs. Since joining IMPOWER, Leo has led on a variety of complex whole system transformation programmes across Children’s and Adults Services and talked at a number of regional and national conferences on the future of Children’s Services. He is passionate about demonstrating impact and value from the precious funding available to public services to maximise peoples life chances.
One of the few remaining Bolton Wanderers fans, outside of work Leo enjoys football, family time with his two children and has a passion for the outdoors.
