Staffordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire beat best of private sector at customer engagement – MCA Awards 2013

IMPOWER

The management Consulting industry recognises public sector innovation. The three pioneering councils, Staffordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, responded to local demand to get beyond demographics, to find out what motivates people to become, and stay, foster carers, and transform the way they work. The project used IMPOWER’s pioneering demand management approach, focussing on behavioural insight to improve the recruitment and retention of foster carers in all three counties, increasing savings and improving the care opportunities available to children needing care.

Lynn Costello & Sally Beaumont discuss the 2013 MCA Award winning project for Customer Engagement. Here they talk about the project, specifically what it was like working with IMPOWER.

Listen to Jon Ainger talk to BLT about the project and the future for IMPOWER’s customer engagement insight.

For more information about the award or any of IMPOWER’s behaviour change projects please call 020 7017 8030 and speak to Jon Ainger, jainger@impower.co.uk or Jeremy Cooper, jcooper@impower.co.uk.

“This is a good example of demand management – reducing the need to spend money with suppliers by “insourcing” the work….[the project] could have huge, lifelong effects on some of the most vulnerable people in our society.”

MCA Judge, Peter Smith
