Rotherham Metropolitan Council’s Early Years’ Service

iMPOWER recently won a piece of work to deliver a review of Rotherham Metropolitan Council’s Early Years’ Service.  The scope of the eight week project incorporates the development of the service baseline, including a map of the touchpoints with other services and the contribution of Early Years to delivery of Early Intervention and Prevention outcomes.

The subsequent stages of the review will seek to identify opportunities to generate efficiency savings and improvements in the delivery of outcomes, setting out options available, working up the savings and detailing next steps.

In the delivery of the project we are working with a wide range of stakeholders from the commissioners to childcare providers.

The project kicked off on site on the 22nd of August, we have made good progress in meeting a wide range of stakeholders and gathering all the data required to generate the baseline. On the 15th September we held a workshop with staff across Childrens and Young Peoples Services to explore the results and begin to generate opportunities for the service.
