What have I done?
After studying economics, chartered accountancy was a natural progression for me and, after 6 years in the practice compliance area, I looked for a new challenge in the world of commerce. And here I am, enjoying the role of iMPOWER Financial Controller, but with the added opportunity to provide consultancy to a wide range of genuinely interesting projects with genuinely important outcomes. Over 4 years I have worked on a variety of business cases, financial evaluations, investment appraisals and process reviews.

About me
Al hails from the North, went to college in the Midlands and, until recently, considered himself a fully paid up Londoner. After the birth of his daughter however he and his family returned to the North. He enjoys playing and watching most sports, not least golf. His enthusiasm, “which generally exceeds my ability”, has been stoked by a recent transition to flexible, part-time working.
