David Colbear, senior consultant

David is a Senior Consultant at iMPOWER with nine years experience of working for and with the Public Sector. He began his career in the Revenues and Benefits department of a District Council before spending time developing and implementing IT systems in the private sector. He then returned to Public Sector work, joining PricewaterhouseCoopers to provide consultancy on projects ranging from e-Government strategy to Project and Programme Management. He worked with a variety of clients, from District, County and Unitary Councils through to Central Government Departments and Non-Departmental Public Bodies.

He joined iMPOWER in November 2007 and is currently working on an IT implementation for a Children’s Services department and has been involved in a number of Adults Services self-directed support projects.

David spends his time running long distances quite slowly, listening to music (including a disproportionately large amount of Bruce Springsteen) and watching cricket.
