Helen Woodland, senior consultant

Helen is a Senior Consultant at iMPOWER with a specialist focus on social care commissioning.

After completing BA and MA degrees in English Literature, Helen began her career with the Learning and Skills Council, acting as contract manager and then moved to Herfordshire County Council where she was a Commissioning Officer in the Children, Schools and Families directorate.

Helen then moved to Deloitte where she worked on local and central government projects witha commissioning focus, including a review of commissioning for looked after children for DCSF, efficiency and transformation projects with a range of local governemnt clients (Dorset, Herefordshire, Nottinghamshire and Surrey to name a few) and commissioning projects with a range of NHS clients, including NHS London.

Some of the recent projects Helen has undertaken at iMPOWER inclue:

• A market readiness assessment and action plan for Manchester City Council
• A review of Home Care and Housing related Support commissioning for LBHF
• An investigation stage project for self directed support for Buckinghamshire COunty Council

Outside of work, Helen is a keen skiier and goes every chance she gets. She is also kept busy being an Auntie to her 3 year old twin nephews!
