Spencer Skinner graduated from Bristol University in 1990 with a BA in history.
Spencer has been a private investor for many years, both personally and on behalf of others. He started his career as an investment manager at Johnson Fry with responsibility for appraising and completing early stage investments.
Spencer then spent five years at Price Waterhouse in the business advisory group working with a focus on SME and consumer product clients. In 1996 he joined CMI, an early stage IT market research and online database business serving IT managers in large corporations. In 1998 Spencer led a management buy out of CMI and successfully managed it to profitability.
From 2000 to 2003 Spencer worked as a director of iMPOWER, latterly as CEO. Throughout that time he had responsibility for a small venture fund, where he completed a number of investments. Spencer is a currently a non-executive director of Deliverance, UKprocure, iMPOWER Consulting and has sat on the board of a number of other companies.
Spencer is a chartered Accountant.
